DIY Manicures and Pedicures


Don’t you just enjoy a day at the spa? Allowing someone else to take care of you and pamper you? You can get a massage, a facial, a manicure, and a pedicure. And of course it is even more fun when you take a friend. Consider doing it at home with some simple DIY products. Pay close attention, take notes and then call all your best pals. It’s time for a Spa Day at home!

How to Do a Manicure & Pedicure

  1. Fill a tub with warm water. Add some Bath Salts for relaxing and soothing muscles.

  2. Remove all nail polish

  3. Soak hands to soften cuticles.

  4. Apply a cuticle remover.

  5. Use an orange stick to clean under the nail beds and push the cuticle back. Do not actually cut the cuticle. This can lead to an infection.

  6. Clip nails to desired length.

  7. File nails straight and smooth to your desired shape.

  8. Use a scrub to wash hands or feet. This will remove any dead skin cells.

  9. Follow up with a moisturizer.

  10. Rub cuticle oil on the cuticles.

  11. Before polishing nails use a little nail polish remover to remove any oil from the nail bed.
