As you know here at J Fields & Co we care about the environment and the earth. We strive to use only the best natural and organic raw materials to make our products. We try to use as little plastic as possible. Our product packages are specifically sculptured to hold the most product while using the least amounts of plastic. We use recycled paper in our packaging. In the blog this week I want to offer some natural alternatives to cleaning your home.
Let’s take a walk into your kitchen because you can clean your home with everyday items from your kitchen pantry.
Vinegar – Vinegar is an all-purpose cleaner. You can make a cleaning solution of one part water to one part vinegar. You can clean almost any surface with this mixture except marble. Make sure you do not use straight vinegar because the acid can dissolve things like tile grout.
Lemon Juice – Lemon Juice can get rid of soap scum and hard water deposits. You can use it on brass and copper pots. You can also take lemon juice or vinegar and baking soda to make a paste cleaner.
Salt – Use salt to combat rust and mildew. Mix with vinegar to remove coffee cup stains. It is good at absorbing grease too. Pour over spills, it will absorb the grease and lift it from the surface. There are tons of other natural cleaning solutions, I just wanted to give you a few to get started. Do you have a natural cleaning solution? If so, tell us all about it.
